Baby Ger
A ger who's forever dear to her creator in heaven, born into a humble family on 14th Dec 1984. Her parents gave her the name Serene Kwek Si Ling.
She wandered on earth excelling in her studies from Li Hua Pri to Presbyterian High to Anderson JC and finally NYP.
She graduated as an Occupational Therapist but started to face more challenges. She got to the point where she wonder what life is all about.
God's grace was upon her, he chased after her heart and in August 2006, the ger finalli decide that she needs God in her life. She was baptised in Dec and have Athena as her baptism name.
This ger is now still seeking to improve herself, find out her purpose in life and in search for the partner God destined for her.

5th March Hmmm… My comp really abit cranky 2dae!!!
Hmmm… Has arrived in Sapporo… M glad Misato came wif 2 other guysto fetch us at the airport… So we dun haf to struggle wif our luggage all the wae to Japan… Hmmm… It’s –8 degrees here… Veri cold…Colder than Tokyo… So tink it’s q bad… Hmmm… Misato and co looks veri friendly… M glad tt I feel welcomed to the country…
Hmmm…Hotel in general is q cosy… Q lk the accommodation, my mini home for the next month… Everythg are q qi quan… So dun tink it’ll b a problem… Except the fact tt they dun ha wireless internet connection… Haix… So I’ll b damn bored at nite… No more MSN… Sobs… And to send an email I need to pay 100 yen equivilent to S$1.57 for use of 10 min… Damn ex rite… Hmmm… Mayb can onli post my blog all at 1 go once a week??? I’ve gotta save everythg in my comp and cut and paste once a week… Hahax…
M gonna find smthg else 2 do already… Q boring… Sobs…Mayb I shld read up smthg on hands… Hahax…
6th March Hmmm… 2dae was q a boring dae… Din exactly noe wat we can do… Visited a few buildings and towers 2 tk some pictures and we’re back rotting in our hotel… Hmmm…
Tink wat was nicest thg tt I done 2dae was to make a snowman… 1st time making a snowman… Veri cold but ceri fun…
Basicalli I lk winter times cos can play wif snow and scenery covered wif snow really looked nice… But I won’t really wan to live in winter forever cos u’d b immune to the thrill of snow… Hahax… Smmore q ma fan to remove and wear so many layers… And dun mention abt washin… I cannot imagine washing al my clothes… Will probably faint… Hahax…
Anyway, me and Regina really spend lk nobody’s business… Nomatter how I tried to budget it seems impossible not to spend cos I dun c y I need 2 torture my stomach by depriving it of food… Smmore u cum all the wae here muz try smthg nice mahx… Hahax… Otherwise waste air ticket and hotel fee manx…
7th March Started clinicals 2dae… But 2dae is mainly orientation and observation… Saw a few cases todae… We also saw the patient whom we’re in charge of… Throughout this 1 mth will onli b in charge of this patient… This would mean there’s a need to work hard to provide optimum service to the patient.
Apparently, the seniors left veri good impression wif Tsubota sensei… So we muz not disgrace Singapore and NYP… Hahax… Stress…
We’ll b officalli introduced to our patient 2ml… Tt means we gotta do our initial interview… So happie tt time’s provided for us to do initial interview and not the interview is done together wif the assessment… But problem arise when we cannot speak Japanese… Hahax… Tt’s q bad… But Tsubota sensei will help us translate… Hmmm… But I need 2 plan my interview questions… What kinda patient demographics do I need to complete my assignment… Buildin rapport would b q difficult since I cannot speak Japanese but will try nevertheless…
But 2dae we see a new case… She’s not refered to therapy yet… It’s basically a machine injury… The injury is veri bad and the wound is q scary… Regina almost fainted when she c the wound… Hmmm… I was surprise I’m rather immune to it…
Tink the OT dept in Japan is similar to Singapore though there’re still some discrepancies… It can b q suprising to c the therapists using more purposeful activities wif some patients though thera patty seems to be their favorite modality… Hahax…
Anyway, we are allowed to use their library’s resources… Their library is veri big… Hahax… Has a lot more resources than NYP… Though we cannot borrow under our card but the sensei are veri kind to volunteer to help us borrow the books…
Juz had a welcome dinner… The meal is really sumptuous and I’m super duper gorged… Damn full now… But a lot of raw food manx… They serve us and we cannot reject.. .Hahax.. .I dun really lk raw food but luckily their raw food doesn’t taste too bad… Basicalli took raw fish, raw bacon etc etc… Took some cocktail 2… M glad I survived the cocktail cos I really cannot hold my liquor well… I totally made sure I drink super duper slowly…
The people in general are warm and frenly… The doctors are really humorous too… Realli loved the people here… Their culture are veri interesting… I’m still learning to bow… Hahax… Basicalli I tink I can b abit blur not knowin wat 2 do at times cos I’m not veri familiar wif their culture… In Singapore we basically dun bow do we??? Hahax…
Betta go prepare my interview questions for 2ml initial interview… C ya… Update u again… Though I really tink u all will haf plenty to read cos I tink I can onli update my blog once in a week or smthg lidat… hahax…
Was tking my nap juz now… Dun tink I can slp early 2nite… Hmmm… Clinical’s strting tomorrow… Q excited abt it… But I haven exactly read up on it manx… Hmmm…
